NTECL Deepa Jyothi Ladies Club (DJLC), organized Milan Mela 2024 on 10th & 11th February at the Stadium, NTECL township. The theme of the Milan Mela-2024 was – “Unity in Diversity”.

Shri Asesh Kumar Chattopadhyay, CEO-NTECL, Smt.Krishna Chattopadhyay, President of DJLC inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon in presence of Shri Sathyanarayana, CGM, and Smt.Sri Lakshmi, Vice President of DJLC. To mark the auspicious beginning of the two-day Mela, Ganesh Puja was performed by the dignitaries followed by Lighting of the Lamp, release of balloons and cake cutting ceremony.

Rural Tamil Nadu art forms are performed like Poikkal Kuthirai, Karagam, Mayillattam, Oyillattam and Parai. The attraction of the mela was fun-games, local cuisine, and a live musical band.

On the above occasion, NTECL Utkarsh Merit Scholarship were awarded for 9 students from targeted village of government school for outstanding performance in the Academic year 2022-23.

Under the NTECL CSR Budget of the financial year 2023-24 10 nos of bicycle was distributed bicycles to the meritorious girl students who participated in the GEM Summer Workshop 2023 conducted at NTECL.

Other dignitaries including HOHR and HODs of NTECL, senior members of Deepa Jyothi Ladies Club and representatives of Unions and association, along with employees of NTECL and their family members were also present.

The Mela showcased a total of 35 stalls which included CISF food stall, Tata Projects stalls, attractive Food Stalls by DJLC members, Bal bhavan stall, external stalls like Apollo hospital, Billroth hospital, automobiles, furniture and Fun-Games zone, along with special attractions/play area for kids.

Vendors from large, medium and small business participated in the event giving a wide variety of cuisines, products and fun elements to the spectators.

On the second day of the occasion, DJLC organized some splendid cultural programmes which included Traditional Inaugural dance,Bollywood dance, Bahubali dance, Magic show and LED dance was the highlight of the event.Lucky draw and Grand Tambola was also held during the Mela in which attractive prizes were given. The two-day mela was enjoyed by employees of NTECL along with their families.
